Since its beginning nearly a decade ago, Lady Cromer Jewelry has evolved in many ways. Like all small business owners, designer April Cromer has worn many hats. “I’m always looking for ways to serve my clients better.” With a certificate from the GIA in Comprehensive CAD/CAM, and a lot of practice on her own, April uses 3D modeling programs to create digital renderings of every design. Those designs are then 3D printed in a castable wax and cast locally in San Diego.

Her favorite part of the process though is getting to know her clients and their unique needs. “I get to work directly with my clients to make their vision come to life. It’s a really special process where everyone is involved in the decision making. I want the final product to be exactly what the customer has in mind. That takes asking a lot of questions and really listening to the answers.”
